HIGHLIGHTS OF IRELAND
June19th-28th & August 21st-30th, 2010
We would like to invite you to join Undiscovered Britain & Ireland on a special trip to the Emerald Isle in June or August, 2010.
This tour will provide a wonderful exploration of this magical country, starting in Dublin and ending in Shannon. Arriving in Dublin, after a city tour & visit to the Guinness Storehouse, we will spend two nights in this exciting capital city, touring Dublin itself and visiting Co.Wicklow on the 2nd day. We finish up that night with a traditionally Irish dinner show, with excellent food and entertainment. From there, we will head west, stopping enroute for a fascinating look at sheepdogs at work, and a wonderful lunch at a very traditional Irish farmhouse, before heading onwards to Galway. We will spend two nights exploring the "City of Tribes" on Galway Bay and experiencing the rugged and beautiful Connemara area and the West of Ireland.
We will then travel south to Co. Kerry, where we will stay for two nights with a visit to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher along the way. The following day we tour the beautiful Dingle Peninsula with its breathtaking scenery and lively town. We travel to Cobh, with a visit to the fantastic Queenstown Heritage Center as well as to Blarney. The tour finishes up in Co. Limerick where we spend two nights, with time to see Adare ("the prettiest town in Ireland") before our tour of Limerick city, on the River Shannon. The last day we visit King John?s Castle & Bunratty Folk Park for a fascinating insight into local life of times gone by, with free time for some shopping and exploring. That night, we enjoy a farewell dinner and show on the grounds of Bunratty Castle, a wonderful way to finish up our tour of this magical country. In addition to all the sights we visit and the good times, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet the wonderful people of Ireland, and experience their warm welcome.
All transportation will be on a fully accessible luxury motor coach. Accommodations are at four-star hotels that are accessible, and all touring; accommodations; taxes; baggage handling; full Irish breakfast daily, and a 3-course dinner on three of the eight nights of the tour and a traditional Irish farm lunch are included. Two of the nights dinners are fun evenings of Irish entertainment. Services of a full-time Irish driver-guide are provided from arrival to departure.
